Onomatopoeia:
CRASH! BANG! BOOM!
Are the sounds of thunderstorms over our roof of our house.
AAAAHH! SQUEAK! SQUEAL!
Are the sounds roaming through our house from the thunderstorm.
STOMPING, SCAMPERING, OW!!!
These are the sounds from all the children in house, trying to find their parents.
HOWL, SWISH, PLOPS,
Are the sounds of the wind and rain outside heard as the young children cower in their parents’ bed.
DRIP, DRIP, DRIP,
is heard as the morning sun is rising.
The storm is finally over and you can hear groaning from the children being forced to leave the warmth of their parents’ bed, to start the day.
